We beat Big Pharma. Now, Medicare will have the power to do what so many Democrats and many Republicans in the past talked about doing: lowering prescription drug prices.

Since I was sworn in on January 20th, we’ve seen a record 5.6 million in job growth— with more jobs created at this point than ever before in American history. We’ve made enormous progress and we're on our way to building an economy that ensures no one is left behind.

This was made possible by the extraordinary success we’ve had in vaccinating so many Americans, so quickly.

Today, I was proud to announce key nominations and appointments for critical economic positions in the Biden-Harris administration. A first-rate team that will get us through the economic crisis and help build our economy back better than before.

This is the moment where we need to steel our spines, redouble our efforts, and recommit ourselves to the fight against COVID-19. Let’s remember: We are all in this together.

Thanksgiving has always been a special time for the Biden family. And while I know this isn’t the way many of us hoped to spend the holiday, the small act of staying home is a gift to our fellow Americans.
