Подробности на сайте http://www.sarov.info Summary An accident happened during testing of an experimental engine with a power source in which radioactive materials are used. The testing was conducted at a remote military range in the Arctic (White Sea). The accident resulted in a fire and explosion. Five staff were killed, several more injured. The accident did not result in a radiological hazard. Although all possible precautions are taken during such experiments, there is always a chance of something not going as expected. A specially formed commission is now investigating the cause of the accident. The senior management of the research institute are expressing condolences to colleagues, friends and families and assuring that the families of the victims will be taken care of.
