There are eight stadiums either built brand new for the World Cup or previous stadiums that have been refurbished for the tournament. The eight stadiums are: Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Education City Stadium, Stadium 974, and Al Thumama Stadium.
