HP-85 vintage computer: repairing the tape capstan with an O-ring
Here is another video about repairing the HP-85 tape drive. The Hewlett Packard 85 is a pre-PC era scientific personal computer. The original capstan wheel coating invariably turns to goop on this all important peripheral. I already have a series of videos on how to repair and modify the tape drive for the better QIC tapes:

But I have long term reliability issues with the previous capstan re-coating methods. Here is an alternate trial with an O-Ring which should be better. It's been OK so far.
